As part of the global public comment period for the Standard for the Transformation of the Electric Power Sector (STEPS), Environmental Resources Trust (ERT) is hosting a webinar to provide an overview of the Standard.
The session will provide information on the key elements of the draft Standard, including eligibility, the performance-based crediting approach, monitoring, reporting, and verification requirements and safeguards. Stakeholders are encouraged to attend the session and submit written feedback via email (STEPS@winrock.org) with the email title “STEPS public comments” by July 1, 2026.
The webinar will be held twice to accommodate participants across time zones:
- June 17th at 7:00 AM PT (UTC−7)
- June 17th at 5:00 PM PT (UTC−7)
We encourage interested parties, including governments, private sector and civil society organizations, and policy and research institutions to attend either session. Comments submitted during or after the webinar will be considered as part of the public comment process.
